If you consider yourself a high-roller and crave some celebrity company over the Formula One weekend, you’ll be wanting to book yourself a ridiculously expensive table at this star-studded post race party. Founded by motorsports mogul Eddie Jordan, whenever there’s an Formula One race in a glamorous location, and last year Abu Dhabi was also chosen to host one of the glitzy bashes last year and superstar attendees included Aerosmith lead singer Steve Tyler, Scream actress Neve Campbell, the Pussycat Dolls shapely singer Nicole Sherzinger and no less than five former Formula One world champions. Unless you’ve got wads of cash or the showbiz contacts to rival a Hollywood producer you won’t be invited to the alfresco bash at the Hilton Abu Dhabi’s but you could always stand by the entrance with a hangdog expression and hope an A-lister takes pity on you and summons you in.

The Chequered Flag Ball

Last year, when it came to bashes of the exclusive kind, there were just a handful going on over Formula One weekend that matched this one. This year, the black tie ball is hosted by Irish motorracing great Eddie Jordan, who’ll be regailing the classy audience with tales from his time as a Formula One driver, team owner and BBC commentator. His collection of amusing anecdotes are ones that any true Formula One fan won’t want to miss. And to keep you sated Chef Jacques Rossel will be serving up a lavish five-course meal, while British soul diva Beverley Knight will be belting out some smooth numbers for your ears to enjoy.

Etoiles

Etoiles is the kind of high-end nightclub where on any given weekend you’re likely to spot at least one famous face, and over Formula One weekend the star quotient is likely to go through the roof. Last year, we saw Richard Branson, Jeremy Irons and Josh Hartnett partying here, and in 2010 we’ve heard Hollywood it-girl sisters Jessica and Ashley Simpson, numerous Formula One drivers (one of whom might even be showing his DJing skills) and a a few artists from the Beats on the Beach are rumoured to be on the hallowed guest list.
