Keep it clean
Grooming is key. Treat yourself to a proper shave, or if you decide to rock the designer stubble, make sure it is trimmed to perfection.
Miss your musk
Aftershave is great, but a few dabs will suffice – we don’t want you spooking the fillies.
Stepping out
Shoes will make or break an outfit, invest in a great pair of brogues and buff them with beeswax to bring up the shine. Make sure your belt matches your shoes in tone.
Lighten up
A classic navy will never date but in a climate like this, lighter lines in neutral colours are a great way to show that you can think outside the fashion dressing-up box.
Snip/tuck
Make sure you get a haircut a few days beforehand – you don’t want to look like you’ve just enlisted. For longer hair, it’s best to go a little slicker than usual.
Rocking it out
If suits aren’t your bag, try a great pair of slacks and a waistcoat over a simple T-shirt for a pulled-together rocker vibe. This should work very nicely, thanks.
Licensed to thrill
If you are more of the Bond persuasion, go for a slim-fitting suit with a tie that tones well.
Size matters
Never buy a suit that you can grow into – they should be well fitted, with just enough room for dinner.
Keep time
Invest in a great watch – it is the only piece of jewellery a gentleman needs.
Slimline
Pinstripes can act as an aide to streamline the body– the narrower the stripe the slimmer you’ll look.
