Four brilliant new family-friendly things to do this month

Grab the kids and go have fun

New jobs website for mums launches

Wondering how to get back to work now you’ve got little ones? A website has launched in Dubai aimed at helping mums find jobs. jobs.mom is a new online platform aimed at empowering mums who want to work.

As well as recruitment boards for professional women with children, the site also features a knowledge hub, career
support services, a lively podcast and inspiring content.

Specifically for mums who need to juggle that all-important work-life balance, the job website provides access to companies who are offering roles with flexible working and part-time opportunities.

In addition, you’ll be able to get help with your resume as well as interview coaching.

You can also expect to find regular contributions from working mums and sector experts and a live jobs board with a section for women to post profiles for employers to find them.

The Dubai-based founder of jobs.mom, Zabeen Mirza, said: “Career-focused mothers have historically been discriminated against, with many having to choose between childcare and raising a family and pursuing a fulfilling career.

“The burden on working mothers is certainly not new, but the pandemic has exacerbated it. However, it has also made it clear that remote, flexible work is not only possible, but successful. There is no reason for women and parents to be forced into a position of choosing between career and kids.”

A pre-launch campaign saw a huge wave of interest with a couple of thousand sign-ups already to the jobs.mom newsletter – signaling the critical demand for the platform, especially as employers and talent alike prepare for a post-COVID workplace.”

Time to dust off your CV.
