Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island is throwing the ultimate Halloween party for all the family.
On Thursday October 24 and Friday October 25, the capital’s popular waterfront destination is hosting a fun-filled spooky extravaganza that the kids will love.
So dig out those costumes and slather on the face paint so the entire tribe look as ghoulish as possible.
Then head to Al Maryah Island, which is being transformed into a spooktacular village, for heaps of frighteningly fun activities.
The little ones can make mummy jars, trick or treat bags and slime, plus some top prizes are up for grabs in the various kids’ competitions including a reward for best fancy dress costume and a raffle.
Petrifying performers will be showcasing their terrifying talents in a programme of shows – a zombie flashmob (we are having visions of Thriller here) should be a highlight, too. Plus a not-so-wicked witch will be telling scary stories to set the mood.
Ghastly games such as zapping bats and ghost ship racing will bring out the kids’ competitive side, while all their favourite villains like Maleficent and Dracula will be ready for some selfie opportunities (cameras at the ready mums and dads).
And the eats are themed too. Food trucks will be serving up tasty treats from charcoal ice cream to pumpkin-flavoured deserts.
Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without trick or treating. Little monsters can wander around the Promenade and the Galleria ringing doorbells and loading up their buckets with sugary treats.
