The UAE’s largest youth engagement forum is being held in Abu Dhabi in February.
Taking place from Monday February 3 until Wednesday February 5, The Middle East Youth Expo 2020 will be focusing on sustainability and is open to school, college and university students.
The three-day festival will give teens from 14, up to young adults of 21, the opportunity to hear from over 70 motivational speakers.
An inspirational line-up includes experts across a range of backgrounds from environmentalists and entrepreneurs to mental health campaigners and international athletes.
Mariah Idrissi, the first hijab-wearing model and animal welfare campaigner Michael Huxley and George Hodgson, a fashion entrepreneur and mental health campaigner are just some of the keynote speakers who will be putting in an appearance over the course of the conference.
In addition, the young delegates can attend workshops, take part in panel discussions, join in with debates and be part of a Q&A session with Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi – a social reformer who has campaigned against child labour.
A Nature Escape Room hosted by Emirates Nature and The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding will provide breakout opportunities from the conference where the teens and young adults can learn about protecting the environment and explore Emirati culture respectively.
Art lovers will be able to indulge in their passion at an exhibition that will be showcasing pieces of work and fashion that encourage them to think carefully about their individual roles when it comes to caring for the planet.
But that’s not all. A wellbeing lounge will provide a welcome relaxation opportunity – and a chance to have their profile and strength assessed all with a view to supporting their body and mind.
