Zoom into adventure with Ricky Zoom on Spacetoon in the UAE

Sponsored: Family values and friendship are at the heart of this cartoon series

If your little ones’ love high speed adventures, adorable characters and funny and relatable stories of friendship and teamwork then Ricky Zoom, will be right up their street.

Filled with family values, heart-warming moments and lovely insights into what friendship is truly all about, this CGI movie-style pre-school animated series stars Ricky Zoom a heroic rescue bike and his best Bike Buddies.

Ricky is a super cute little red rescue bike (with big blue eyes and some adorable catch phrases) who is built for speed. Ricky is a loyal friend, a natural born leader and a great problem solver. He and his best Bike Buddies, Loop, Scootio and DJ, live in a town called Wheelford, a two-wheeled town tailor-made for bikes.

Ricky and his Buddies are loved and supported by their family and close-knit community where everyone is on hand to teach them valuable life lessons and help them learn how to stand on their own two wheels.

Ricky and Bike Buddies get help when they need it but are also left to learn from their own mistakes rather than being mollycoddled.

Best of all, the show is educational, without being obviously educational. What we mean by that is that it doesn’t teach the kiddos in the school sense, but rather instils in them some lovely values and morals, which is actually far better. It teaches them the importance of community, having a support network, friendship, respect and how helping each other and working as a team is key.

Little ones up to the age of five, can catch the big-hearted bike and his Bike Buddies on Spacetoon in the UAE as well as on YouTube. Ricky Zoom is loads of fun and appeals to both boys and girls alike.

We got a couple of our Time Out UAE Kids mini reviewers to watch a few episodes of the cool series and to give their feedback.

Olivia, who is five, said: “This is the best and my favourite! They are so fast and speedy and race around doing nice lovely things for everyone. I wish I lived in Wheelford with them all. They are all best friends and are very kind to each other, just like me with my best friends, but I’m not as fast as they are. I would like to do a rescue mission like them. I really like the theme tune, it’s better than any of the others ones I know. Toot is my favourite character, she is purple. Toot is a girl and is little, just like me. Ricky is her brother and she tells funny stories about him, she knows stuff about him, like I know things about my brother too. They do loads of fun things together.

*Ed’s note: Olivia has not stopped singing the theme tune since she became obsessed with the series.

Thankfully, it’s actually very cute!”

Three-year-old Tallulah is also a huge fan of the show saying: “I like bikes and things that go fast, super-duper fast like Ricky. My mummy’s favourite colour is yellow and the yellow bike is a girl so she is my favourite one. Her name is Scootio Wizzbang. But the funny one is the blue one and his name is Loop Hoopla, he is a boy bike. They all went to a fair and there were lots of balloons. They had too many sweets and felt sick, that was a bit naughty. Ricky has gadgets that help him and he likes to help people. I like to help my friends and my toys do things. My best part was when they all ended up happy together at the end.”

The kids will be hooked by this Zoomtastic show, but they may not be the only ones – we are looking at you mums and dads.
Watch Ricky Zoom on-air on Spacetoon and also on YouTube.
