UAE spring camps for kids 2020

Keep the little ones entertained in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

In line with directives from the government, these are no longer going ahead.

School’s out, but that doesn’t mean you have to start pulling your hair out. Keep the little ones entertained by signing them up to these spring camps in the UAE.

Aventura
If we few days swinging from the trees is your kid’s idea of a fun day out, Aventura is running a camp from Sunday March 8 until Thursday April 9, that just might suit. Taking place between 9am and 3pm, mums and dads can sign high energy kiddos up to as many days a week as they like. Plus, the price includes snacks and lunch, which makes life even easier for parents getting the gang out of the house in the morning.

Cheeky Monkeys
A world of colour and fun awaits little explorers at the Cheeky Monkeys (Time Out Kids best soft play venue 2019) this spring break. Innovative neon-lit slides, mini zip lines, brilliant dressing up area and an enormous ball pit provide endless entertainment that energetic tots love. And between Sunday March 8 and Thursday April 9, little monkeys can hit Cheeky Monkeys for a cool spring camp where fun-filled activities, science experiments, interactive games, arts and crats and more will keep their days jam-packed while they are off school. The price includes a meal and snack so no lunchboxes are required.

Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club
There are heaps of fun activities for little ones between four and 12 to enjoy at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club camp from horse riding, football and painting to swimming, storytelling and pilates. Mums and dads can sign their kids up to a five-hour day, seven-hour day or a full day programme that runs from 8am to 5pm. Kids will need to bring a packed lunch.

European Equestrian Centre
A camp for pony-mad kiddos, European Equestrian Centre is inviting kids with a passion for horses to join in the equestrian fun. The camp, which teaches stable management and pony care, is aimed at riders of various levels as long as they are over five. At the end of the camp, little equine buffs can take a test for an additional Dhs150 that will give them a French Equestrian Federation certificate.

Grand Hyatt
Mini campers between five and 12 can enjoy five weeks of fun at this luxury resort’s kid’s club in Oud Metha. Activities for the kiddos include arts and crafts, cooking, swimming (in the kid’s pool) and loads of sports. Taking place Sunday to Thursday until Thursday April 9 the camp includes lunch, which is always helpful for parents.

Gulf Stars
Gulf Stars is hosting not one, but three spring camps so you can choose the one that best suits your little campers:

Kart Racing – Lewis Hamilton wannabes between seven and 15 can try the one-week camp at the Kartdome Centre from Sunday March 8 to Thursday March 12, with a second week running from Sunday March 15 to Thursday March 19. As well as a chance to race around the track kids can enjoy laser tag, billiards, Playstation challenges and loads of fun games.

Sports – Sporty kids can sign up to play football, dodge ball, rounders, touch rugby, handball, volleyball and more at this spring camp that kicks off on Sunday March 8 and runs between 9am and 1pm.

Multi-activity – Kids HQ is the venue for this cool camp that offers kids range of things to do including arts and crafts, sports, martial arts, soft play, dance and various fun games. Taking place on weekdays between Sunday March 8 and Thursday March 19 from 9am to 2.30pm, the camp is aimed at kids between three and 13.

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
The Abu Dhabi resort is inviting little ones, aged seven and above, to spend the day at its kids club this holiday where a variety of activities will be laid on from sport and cooking to challenging games. Running every day until Tuesday March 31 between 9am and 6pm, a full day at camp costs Dhs250 per child and even includes a meal – so you don’t even need to pack a lunchbox for the kiddos to bring back untouched mums and dads! The line-up of activities includes sports, cooking, slime-making, dodge ball, kayaking, cookie decorating and memory games (phew). There will also be a focus on the preserving the environment with educational sessions and an opportunity to go on a nurdle hunt to teach children the importance of keeping our shores clean and rubbish-free.

Top Chef
Budding mini masterchefs will be able to don their chef’s hat and apron and get stuck into creating a slew of delicious dishes at this spring camp. Running weekdays from Sunday March 8 to Thursday April 2, the classes will teach little ones between the ages of six and 12, to make a range of recipes including smoothies, cakes, main courses and even bread rolls.
