Dubomedy launches online summer arts camp for kids and teens

Early bird tickets are on sale this week

Looking for something to keep your little ones of yours occupied this summer in Dubai? This new arts camp from home will do the trick. Home is where the arts is, after all…

Dubai-based comedy outfit Dubomedy is launching a special online summer arts camp for kiddos and teens to get creative, with each week-long programme specifically designed to work virtually right in the living room.

The camps for littler ones have been divided into two age groups: one for ages between five and seven and the other from ages eight to 14 and they all kick off on Sunday Jul 19.

The first age group can expect everything from drama and storytelling, percussion with recycled objects, singing and creative movement to martial arts, juggling and drawing.

As for the second age group, they can expect theater, percussion and Stomp Jam! movements, singing, juggling, improv’ comedy, hip-hop and break dancing, martial arts and yoga.

The instructors and coaches for Dubomedy know their stuff, as they come from TV, film, Broadway, Cirque Du Solei and even the winner of Spain’s Got Talent. Kids will be pros in no time.

Oh, and don’t forget about the daily challenges and camp movie night watch party.

As for teens aged 13 to 16, there will be a comedy Zoom-Shop where each student will learn the basics of improv comedy, classic skits and get individual attention and guidance to create their own unique three-minute comedy set to perform in a final Zoom showcase.

Classes will kick off from Monday July 20 for teens, with the final show on Wednesday August 5.

Think summer camp will do them good? Early bird tickets priced from Dhs325 until Thursday June 18, so the sooner you sign up, the better.
