Yes, you read it correctly. You can book a family staycay at the La Mer water park – and it’s certainly one way to prevent meltdowns when the park closes and you have to drag the kids away. Taking place every Thursday and Friday, you can check in for your overnight camping experience from 5.30pm. Prices are Dhs700 for a two-man tent, while a family of four in a four-man tent will pay Dhs1,200. Once you’ve dumped your stuff in your tent, you can head straight to the slides, hit up the WaveOZ 180 FlowRider, take the little ones to little ones to the lazy river or let them make a splash at the dedicated water adventure zone, or choose to tuck into a unlimited barbecue offering everything from burgers to flame-grilled chicken – until 10pm. After dinner, families can get stuck into a family board game, take part in a campfire sing-a-long (with marshmallows and popcorn, of course) or snuggle down into a bean bag to watch a film. Check out is at 10am, but for families don’t have to leave as they’ll get full access to Laguna Waterpark for the day, including unlimited food and beverages.
