Hit the book fair, check out a new toy store and introduce them to the arts

We’ve reached the weekend at long last, and everyone is looking forward to some family time. Here are all the fun activities you don’t want to miss out on doing with the kids this weekend in Abu Dhabi. It might be warming up out there, but there’s plenty to do with the brood indoors.

Make and Play at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Who doesn’t love to visit Louvre Abu Dhabi? With the gorgeous architecture and artwork to see, it’s a perfect afternoon activity. But did you know you can pre-book a “Make and Play” activity, linked to one of the artworks at the museum? This weekend you can create your very own flipbook, helmet, mask, costume, or paper horse, in four activity stations available with materials. Adult tickets cost Dhs50, but kids under 18 go free. The sessions on Friday and Saturday are from 11.30am-1.30pm, 2.30pm-4.30pm or 4.30pm-6.30pm.

Get them into noodles at UDN

It’s no secret that most kids love noodles, and Abu Dhabi now has its first udon noodle house that you should definitely try this weekend. Introduce your little ones to UDN and they’ll be begging to go back in no time. Thick, tangy noodles, a cute little venue, and family-friendly vibe?
