Golf season in the UAE is in full swing (pun fully intended).
Here are four top academies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai where kids can learn to play the game or brush up on their golfing skills.
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club
Mini golf enthusiasts can sign up to an eight-week course for Dhs750. The lessons are an hour long each week and teach little golf fans the basics from putting and driving (that’s off the tee and not in a car) to golf etiquette. Plus if they fancy testing out their skills they can sign up to various tournaments when they are ready.

With tiered ability programmes young golfers to learn, develop and compete in an environment suited to their level. Class sizes are no bigger than six, while regular tournaments give kiddos a competitive edge. Little golfers can sign up to a trial for Dhs55, and once they’ve decided it’s the sport for them, the month-long programmes start at Dhs400 for absolute beginners. Peter Cowen Academy
Sign up to one academy, get access to three top golf clubs – winner. The Peter Cowen Academy has locations at Emirates Golf Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates and Dubai Creek and are run by a team of fully qualified PGA Professionals. There are three junior programmes to choose from: Little Champions aimed at ages four to six), the Junior Programme for ages six to 17 and the Junior Elite Programmefor kids with a handicap of nine and below. No golf clubs? No bother. You can hire all the equipment you need direct from the academy.

Trump International Dubai Golf Academy
The Trump Golf Performance Academy, Dubai offers a variety of individual and group lessons where PGA Professionals coaches tailor their lessons to help little golfers develop their love of the game and the skills required to play it. The Junior Development Programme is Dhs960 if they are members, or Dhs999 if they are guests. Alternatively individual lessons start at Dhs200 for 30 minutes, and are aimed at kids between four and 16. Go for a hole in one.
