Kids can take part in a time trial at Abu Dhabi’s new cycle hub

The BMX Park races are open to kids between eight and 18

Kids have a need for speed? You could put that to good use by signing them up for a BMX time trial race at Abu Dhabi’s new cycle hub at Circuit X.

On February 12, two-wheeled speed demons between eight and 18 can take part in a time trial race against the clock at the Circuit X BMX Track Rush.

There will be two age categories for keen cyclists to sign up to – a junior race for the younger riders aged between eight and 13, and one for the older teens aged between 14 and 18.

The aim is to race against the clock to finish two challenges in the fastest possible time to be in with a chance of winning some cool prizes that include a brand-new BMX bike.

Sports gear, free passes to the park and more will also be on the table for the quickest times.

First, cyclists will have to compete two rounds of a high-speed sprint on the pump track, before attempting the dirt trail sprint, which features a course of multiple ramps and beams.

The BMX Track Rush is taking place between 10am and 2pm on February 12 allowing a maximum of 20 contestants at a time.

The BMX Park is open to young BMX bikers across the UAE and offers several areas where keen bikers can challenge themselves.

There are pump skills and jumps and an outer dirt track featuring custom-built ramps, hills and turns.

Ready? On your bike!
