From August 20-26 AirAsia is offering one-way flights from Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur for just over Dhs100.
Those interested can log on to www.airasia.com, or book the tickets via handphone at mobile.airasia.com.
This is for travel during the period between Nov 23 this year and July 31 next year where AirAsia X will offer five flight a week during the Haj period.
Airasia X chief executive officer, Azran Osman-Rani said it was one of AirAsia’s strategies to stimulate new travel demand, which would help to boost tourism potential on both ends.
“Abu Dhabi has two million people. More than 80% of them are frequent travellers. Thus, we foresee an increasing trend of them flying to Malaysia for holidays,” he added.
The Airbus A340 aircraft, with a capacity of 286, will fly this new route.
To date, AirAsia has an existing network of 130 routes covering more than 65 destinations.
