Abu Dhabi will introduce “Ladies only” taxis by March, a senior official said.
“About 70 ‘Ladies only’ taxis will be introduced for women and children below 10 years old”, Abdulla Sultan Al Sabbagh, General Manager of TransAD told a press conference in the capital on Wednesday.
The number of silver taxis in Abu Dhabi will go up to 7147 by March 2010, he said.
As announced earlier 7147 taxis had to be introduced by the end of 2009, but the shortage of drivers caused the delay, Al Sabbagh explained.
