Lashings 2010

More cricket at Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi this weekend…

We have more cricket in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

Lashings will play three fixtures during the Emirates Palace Cricket Festival, which lasts from March 23 to March 30.

Chris Harris will captain the side, while Richie Richardson spearheads a formidable-looking batting order that includes Aravinda de Silva and Gordon Greenidge.

Lashings have also included two spinners in Saqlain Mustaq and John Emburey, with Rashid Latif charged with keeping wicket to them.

Mohammad Akram will provide pace, alongside a trio of English quick bowlers, Phil De Freitas, Ed Giddins and Devon Malcolm.

All-rounder Mark Ealham completes the dozen.

Lashings’ first game sees them take on the British Ambassador’s XI on Thursday (March 25), before they play a Henry Blofeld XI 24 hours later.

They then take on the Emirates Palace Gentlemen’s Cricket Club’s XI on Saturday the 27th, before the Tour concludes on Sunday when the Gentleman’s Club play a Sponsors XI.

As soon as we have any more details about how you can get involved, we’ll let you know.
