And though it’s still three months off yet, rumours abound that R&B songstress Kelis is penciled in as one of this year’s headline acts. The New Yorker’s milkshake is set to bring all the boys to Abu Dhabi’s proverbial yard on November 13, as she performs hits like Trick Me, Millionaire and Acapella on the Corniche the night before the big race. It’ll be a UAE debut for the singer, who’d reportedly been eyeing up an appearance in Dubai before seizing the chance to stretch her lungs in the capital instead. If confirmed, she would follow iin the formidable footsteps of Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, Beyonce and Jamiroquai, who entertained motorsport fans over the weekend of 2009’s race.
