Linkin Park confirmed for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Nu-metallers first to sign up for November’s Yasalam spectacular

If there’s ever been a time for Dhabi-based investors to seek out shares in black eyeliner and full-length leather coats, it’s right now. Why? We’ll tell you why. Following in the hard-rocking footsteps of Aerosmith, Linkin Park have been confirmed to play a show in Abu Dhabi, on the weekend of the city’s second Formula One Grand Prix. They’ll be taking the stage on Saturday, November 15, following the F1 qualifying session to play an exclusive gig for Grand Prix ticket holders.

Presumably between bouts of angst-ridden tears and half-baked musings on political corruption, singer Chester Bennington took the time to say the following of the show: ‘We’re looking forward to playing at the 2010 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert this year. We can’t wait to share our new music with our fans in Abu Dhabi.’ Let’s hope that what the band lack in enthusiastic sound bites they make up for in pure face-numbing rock come November…
