Abu Dhabi Creamfields line-up takes shape

Above & Beyond and Sander Van Doorn confirmed for dance music fest

If somehow you’re not completely danced out by Tiësto’s six-hour DJ set this weekend, keep your glow sticks at the ready as more huge dance acts have been confirmed for the upcoming Creamfields show. French mixmaster David Guetta has already been announced for the dance extravaganza at Yas Island on December 9, but organisers Flash Entertainment have just revealed another batch of superstar DJs.

First up is Above & Beyond, a UK-based DJ trio consisting of Jono Grant, Paavo Siliamaki and Tony McGuinness. They’re known for their uplifting trance sound and were recently voted the fourth best DJs on the planet by DJ Magazine. This will be their second foray to Abu Dhabi after they performed a memorable set in front of tens of thousands of revellers on the Corniche as part of Yasalam 2009 Beats on the Beach.Next up is Dutch trance DJ and producer Sander Van Doorn, who first hit the big time after beating Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris in 2008 to win Best Breakthrough DJ in the world. Also, taking to the decks will be UK-based Gareth Emery, who turned down a career as a classical pianist to become one of the most respected trance mixers out there. And finally, James Zabiela, who’s known for his innovative blending of breakbeat and house which has catapulted him to the forefront of the UK’s club scene.

Standard entry to Creamfields will cost Dhs250, but if Tiësto whets your appetite, buy a ticket at his gig and it will set you back a mere Dhs150. Click on www.timeouttickets.com for more information.
