More F1 Yas Island gigs announced

Tinie Tempah and Basement Jaxx set to take the stage

A day of watching the high-speed thrills of F1 followed by an evening spent viewing some of the biggest musical legends on the planet is enough to satisfy most people’s entertainment quota.  But for the hardened bunch of revellers who want to party well into the early hours, Flash Entertainment has announced a series of late night bashes headlined by some massive DJs, singers and rappers.

After each day’s racing, anyone who’s purchased an F1 ticket will get free access to gigs by Kanye West, Linkin Park and Prince. But come 11pm, when most sensible F1 fans will be returning to their hotel rooms for a quiet cup of cocoa, these late night bashes will only just be kicking off.

The Skybar nights, which require a ticket purchase to get in, take place in the specially constructed Flash Forum. They start on November 11, the night before the first F1 practice session, with performances by Dutch trance DJ Ferry Corsten, reggae star Sean Paul and heavyweight rapper Fatman Scoop. The following night, US R&B singer Kelis and UK grime scene hotshot Tinie Tempah will take the stage, followed by eclectic dance duo Basement Jaxx.

On November 13, another of Holland’s finest house mixers, Sander Kleinenberg, will take centre stage, as well as US singer Chris Willis and Romanian pop sensation Inna. And although the line-up for November 14, the day of the actual Grand Prix race, has yet to be confirmed by Flash, partygoers have been promised some more high-profile dance acts.

Ticket prices start from Dhs500 and are available at www.timeouttickets.com
