Have lobster: Are you a fan of those brightly coloured, multi-limbed crustaceans? Fairways at the Westin golf resort are, and they’re celebrating their fandom with fresh lobsters from the States. They’re also giving you a choice of how you’d like to partake in your seafood treat, from Arabic style to Asian, grilled or steamed. It’s Dhs190 per lobster, and if you fancy sampling the buffet, that’s Dhs70.

Gather the girls: If you have been neglecting your girlfriends, Zenith at The Sheraton have Ladies Night every Wednesday, where the girls can get free house drinks all night long. Take them all out and enjoy.

Eat Italian: Fill your belly with some wholesome Italian fare at Park Rotana’s Ginger, where every night is a theme night and Wednesday’s are dedicated to al dente pasta and pizza that’s piping hot. It’s Dhs140 per person, which is fair for five-star hotel dining. And if the weather’s nice, you can take your supper outside.

Join the circus: This is not an invitation to throw in the towel and run away from home. It is an invitation to meet Sarrasani, the master of illusions, with his greatest circus show on earth. Circus Sarrasani isn’t in town for very long, so don’t miss it.

Listen to the violin: March is nearly through and we still can’t get enough of all the art and culture in town! This week, the Abu Dhabi Festival brings us Resplendent Russia, with Maxim Yengerov and the St Petersbug Philharmonic Orchestra.

Have a drink with a grand view: Looking for a new place to unwind with a beverage? Enjoy a drink and soak up the amazing view from Ray’s Bar on the 62nd floor of Jumeriah at Etihad Towers. The bartenders are talented and will shake you up a mean blend.

Head to a cool pool party: Le Royal Méridien will host their first HedKandi pool party tonight so make sure you get down there. Kicking off at 4pm, listen to music by Krystal Roxx featuring Chris B on percussion and DJs Mark Pickup and Cliff Townley. Entry for the ladies before 9pm is free, entry for gents all day and ladies after 9pm is Dhs100.

Enjoy bubbly bliss: Pamper your palate and get stuck into the Origins international buffet, with its live cooking stations and everything from sushi to tagines. There’s also a kids area, to help you get those pesky little people out of your hair while you enjoy your Friday.

Listen to music: Calling all music buffs and fans of oriental and jazz, Abu Dhabi Theatre will be buzzing tonight with great music and a cool crowd. The French Alliance have brought us Ibrahim Maalouf, and Maalouf brings us his electro oriental jazz ryhtms, which are not to be missed.

Pick the best of three: Brunch at the Beach Rotana happens at Essence every Friday, but they’ve brought together a spread out of the best fare that Essence, Brauhaus and Benihana have to offer. Talk about spoilt for choice!
