3 things to do today in Abu Dhabi

Embrace your inner child or try a new Shakespeare

Friday, June 14

Embrace your inner child: Toys & Treasures – Toybox to Treasure Chest: The Art of Collecting is an exhibition of cameras, electronic games, spinning tops, puppets and more, all from private collections from the UK and the UAE. It aims to teach young people all about starting their own collection and runs until June 19. They are also hosting a variety of workshops; the next two being Aladdin and Sinbad the Sailor, which take place June 15. Fun for all the family.
Ghaf Gallery, Khaleej Al Arabi, 30th Street www.admaf.org/en (02 651 0300).

Try a new Shakespeare: We’re not talking about William’s books. A new branch of Shakespeare and Co. has just opened on Saadiyat Island, at the The Collection at The St. Regis Hotel and Resort.
Open daily 7am-midnight, Saadiyat Island, www.shakespeareandco.ae (02 644 5515).

Explore a new menu: Broccoli Pizza & Pasta is a restaurant serving, you guessed it, pizzas and pasta dishes, which has recently opened in the city (they already have a branch in Dubai). It’s a colourful-looking place as well (if you like greens and yellows). They also deliver.
