What you need to remember to be respectful this Ramadan

What you need to remember to be respectful this Ramadan
• It’s forbidden to consume anything in public during fasting hours. You can’t drink water, chew gum, eat or smoke in public places from sunrise until sunset. Failing to adhere to this rule could land you in jail.

• Dress appropriately. This month is all about being modest. Ladies should avoid anything above the knee and strapless or spaghetti strap tops.

• Ramadan is about giving. If you have any food, clothes or household items you don’t need anymore, find a suitable charity.

• During this month venues won’t play any music, so you should avoid blaring any from your car or home as well.

• Even more than usual, you must show respect and try not to swear in public.
