Russell Peters returns to the UAE

Controversial comic to play Abu Dhabi’s du Arena in October

After breaking box office records on his last visit to the emirate, Russell Peters is to return to the UAE next month.

The infamous Canadian comic will bring his Notorious World Tour to Abu Dhabi’s du Arena in October – with speculation more dates in the emirates will be added.

Last March Peters broke regional box office records after selling out two nights at Dubai World Trade Centre in less than two hours apiece, as well as stopping by the capital for two shows at the du Forum, the first of which sold out.

Now it’s been revealed Peters will return to Abu Dhabi to play an all-seated gig at the larger du Arena on Wednesday October 23 – and with such a high demand for tickets, it seems more than likely more UAE gigs are on the cards.

‘It’s great to be coming back to Abu Dhabi,’ Peters told fans. ‘When I was here last year, I had just started the Notorious World Tour. The act has grown since then and I’ve had a few new adventures along the way that I’m looking forward sharing with my fans in the UAE.’

The tour also features comedian and singer J Chris Newberg.

Tickets for the October 23 show, starting at Dhs250, go on sale at noon on Monday September 23 from www.ticketmaster.ae.
