3 things to do today in Abu Dhabi

Learn something new or go to a Scottish Ball

Thursday, October 24

Learn something new: NYUAD is hosting a talk on dark matter and the universe. Join this free lecture to find out about the existence of dark matter and experiments in space. You don’t need to be a scientist to participate, just bring your willingness to learn! Associate professor David Hogg will be speaking. It might even be out of this world! The lecture begins at 6.30pm.

Go to a Scottish Ball: If it is high time you got dressed up, the Royal Society of St George is hosting the Trafalgar Ball at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. Get into your fanciest gown or suit and join the evening for a five-course meal and traditional Scottish dancing from 7.30pm.
Cost Dhs500 for non-members, contact@rssgauh.com.

Listen to Opera: See the Ritz-Carlton’s resident opera singer perform in the beautiful lobby as the sun sets. The performance begins at 7pm and Nellie, the singer, is accompanied by Jonathan Milla on piano. Enjoy songs of a great scope in this lofty and stunning setting.
