3 things to do today in Abu Dhabi

Take your child to a funky class or go back in time

Things to do on February 5:

Take your child to a funky class: A new class at Bodytree studio aims to teach children about fitness and music as they dance to contemporary hits as well as classic jazz favourites. Using ballet techniques, kids ages six to nine and ten to 14 can enjoy these fun-filled exercise classes.
Call to sign up, Bodytree Studio, Al Khalidiyah, (02 443 4448).

Bounce back on Yas: Wednesdays are Bounce Back night at Stills. It’s buy one get one free at this popular bar, and that’s not just for the ladies. So head here because the week’s almost over and you might as well celebrate.
Stills, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island, (02 656 3000).

Go back in time: The archaeology of Abu Dhabi’s coastline dates back 150,000 years, and excavations on Marawah and Delma Islands have found evidence to suggest Neolithic people loved a good market even 7,500 years ago. This lecture, illustrated with archaeological evidence, will teach you more about Abu Dhabi’s maritime heritage.
Free, 6.30pm-8pm, NYUAD downtown campus, behind ADIA Tower, near Qasr Al Hosn fort, www.nyuad.nyu.edu (02 628 4000).
