After mountains of speculation and hype it’s been announced that the hottest group in rap are coming to Abu Dhabi.
For weeks now promoters Flash have been teasing music fans with cryptic tweets about an upcoming April 25 gig from a Grammy-winning artist.
Later hints it would be a band not a solo performer only increased speculation that it just might be Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – among the biggest winners at this year’s Grammy Awards with an incredible four gongs (a figure matched only by Daft Punk).
Rightly hyped as the hottest team in hip-hop following the awards, the collaboration of rapper Macklemore and producer Lewis made shockwaves in late 2012 with the release of LP The Heist, which spawned singles including ‘Can’t Hold Us’, ‘Same Love’ and ‘Thrift Shop’.
They will appear in Abu Dhabi on off the back of a mammoth world tour which saw them cover more than 277,000 miles in 2013.
Tickets, starting from Dhs295, go on sale from www.ticketmaster.ae and Virgin Megastores from midday on Wednesday February 19.
Before this there will be an exclusive pre-sale period for registered Du customers open from midday on Monday February 17, and for Flash members from midday on Tuesday February 18.
