Experience a cultural festival: Today is the first day of the Qasr Al Hosn Festival. The ten-day festival includes interactive workshops, historical tours and demonstrations of traditional Emirati crafts. It will be a fun way to learn about the culture of the country.

See a painting exhibition: Today is the last day to see Dimention, an exhibit at the Dusit Thani of work, by Albanian artist Ndue Pepa. The colourful, hypnotic paintings draw on the artist’s knowledge of art history as well as his observations of his surroundings. Ten of his most recent canvases are on display.

Watch horse jumping: Top UAE horseriders will compete this weekend at the Federation Equestrian International Furusiyya Nations Cup. Riders will be challenged to clear jumps that vary in height and width. The sport is easy to watch and family friendly.
