The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council has announced the launch of a new toy conformity scheme where toys that meet stringent safety requirements will be awarded the Abu Dhabi trustmark. This will ensure that toys in Abu Dhabi for kids up to 14 years of age are compliant with the new standards. The new scheme has been developed in accordance with international guidelines and best practices and aims to help prevent fake and poor quality toys finding their way into the market, easing parents’ concerns over toy safety. The scheme is voluntary but toy makers are being urged to submit their products for approval to receive the new trustmark.
