Al Jaber netball team have been crowned as this years champions of the Abu Dhabi Netball League after pipping fellow A League team Crowne Plaza to the post.
The Devere Team narrowly claimed victory from the One to One League in a gripping end of season finale which resulted in a goal difference count back to establish the winners.
This year saw more than 150 players – a record for the league – competing every week at the Royal Marina Health Club
ADNL chief Erene Spies, said: “this was the best season the league has had to date and we’re extremely excited to see local businesses supporting the most popular female team sport in the UAE.
“We are already gearing up for the 2009/2010 season which will kick off in September and look forward to new talent joining the ranks.”
