Damages star Glenn Close urged Americans to learn more about Arabs and Arabic culture on a visit to the UAE this weekend.
“Hollywood doesn’t know about Arabs enough,” said American film star Glenn Close as she attended a master class at the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, a new initiative of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, hosted the actress at the Cultural Foundation.
She added: “During my visit to Abu Dhabi I have been impressed by the initiatives the government is providing to create a film industry.
” She advised actors and filmmakers in the region “to find stories that will show the world different picture of Arabs: Find directors and writers and develop them to tell stories from this incredible area that we in Hollywood don’t know about.”
