There’s Something about films about detectives in the 1950s that grabs our attention – maybe it’s the style, the language or harking back to an era before smartphones. Whatever the reason, we’re always drawn in. In Motherless Brooklyn we’re taken back to 1950s New York City to follow the tale of a private detective with Tourette’s syndrome who’s out to solve the murder of his friend and mentor. There’s an all-star cast with Edward Norton, Bruce Willis and Willem Dafoe, too, so with a dose of film noir, a stellar line-up and the promise of a gripping detective story, we’re excited about this one.
