VOX Cinemas have launched brand-new sensory-friendly cinema screenings to make movie visits more inclusive and accessible for all kids in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
As a result of a brilliant link-up with Dubai Autism Center, VOX Cinemas unique experience has been designed to to make moviegoing something that all kids can enjoy.
There will be weekly screenings every Saturday at noon that are specially adapted in a variety of ways so that children with sensory sensitivities can enjoy all the latest family releases in stress-free, comfortable space.
To reduce overstimulation, Sensory Friendly Screenings feature various adjustments including reduced audio volume, dimmed lighting for the duration of the film and no trailers.
In addition there will be a reduced number of movie-watchers in the auditorium and mums and dads can take along their own snacks from home to make sure their child’s dietary requirements are met.
The sensory-friendly screenings will take place in the cinema’s dedicated KIDS auditoriums at Mall of the Emirates, Yas Mall, City Centre Sharjah, City Centre Fujairah, Al Jimi Mall and City Centre Ajman.
