flick quite like a new Fast and Furious film, which is why we’re looking forward to the latest instalment in the series. Fast and Furious 9 hits Abu Dhabi theatres on Thursday May 20, so get ready to grab your popcorn and buckle up for an exciting ride.
In the ninth (ninth!) outing of the movie franchise, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) joins forces with his crew to battle a skilled assassin and high-performance speed driver. The twist? He’s up against his brother Jakob (the equally burly John Cena). As usual, expect high-speed chases, love stories, and cars that whizz impossibly through the air.
With Dom now a father, the stakes are higher than ever as he fights to protect his son from “what’s coming.”

The Fast and Furious franchise captured the hearts of an entire generation all the way back in 2001 (can you believe it’s been 20 years now? We’re feeling old.) This latest outing is directed by Justin Lin, and written by Lin, Alfredo Botello and Daniel Casey. And with a budget of more than $200 million, we’re hoping they’ve invested in at least one popcorn-rocking explosion.
