Inheritors of The Ramones’ buzzsaw bubblegum template, The Death Set’s patent wendigo blitzkreig shriekalongs are tempered with a pop sensibility which bridges the gap between Fall Out Boy and Fugazi without sounding – ugh – ‘mature’. The likes of ‘Can You Seen Straight?’ would sound equally at home on the radio as they will causing lasting hearing damage at cramped venues.
