Partner content: Entertainment, nostalgia and masses to do in the capital

Ready for a healthy and delicious dose of nostalgia? How about a superb week packed full of events, entertainment, shopping culture and more? You’re in the right place.

Abu Dhabi Collectors Week, run by Retail Abu Dhabi, takes place from October 7 to 16, so get ready for some absolutely brilliant finds.

Aimed at celebrating collectors, collections, and their glorious passions, the city-wide festival will run for ten awesome days. There will be loads to do – from unique collectors’ experiences to pop-ups, product launches and more – all anchored by the region’s first creativity and design festival, Semi Permanent Middle East.

At Semi Permanent Middle East, you can expect to find three days of talks, performances, dining experiences, art installations, and screenings from a standout lineup of acclaimed global creative talent. The festival will run from Thursday October 14 to Saturday October 16 at Manarat Al Saadiyat and tickets are on sale now.

Hold on to your hats as there’s some serious entertainment going on too. As part of an eye-popping line-up you’ll see Grammy- and Academy award-winning musician Mark Ronson, who will perform a live DJ set; Refik Anadol, the Turkish-American new media artist and designer; and Aaron Rose, the American film director, artist, exhibition curator and writer. The Middle East’s hottest creative talent is also onboard, including Lebanese singer and visual artist, Dana Hourani; the German-born designer of Air Max fame, Bunyamin Aydin; and Hussain AlMoosawi, an Emirati communication designer and photographer.

The event will also feature the international debut of renowned culinary space The Flower Shop, with the brand’s first-ever F&B pop-up outside of the USA.

Not enough for you? Make sure you don’t miss The Collective – a series of three immersive experiences that will be showcase at Al Hudayriat Island from October 9 until October 16.

If you love trainers you’re in for a treat, as experiences include The Sneaker Lab, featuring Puma. There’s also a supercar collection from influencer Mo Vlogs, as well as an NFT collection exhibition. Finally, there’s a room that explores the art of collecting and the passion that drives collectors that’s being shown at Manarat al Saadiyat from October 14 until 16.

What are you waiting for? This is one week you really don’t want to miss.
