Korean pop artists, sEODo BAND, are coming to the Middle East for the first time at The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) for a virtual concert that you definitely don’t want to miss.
Massive personalities, mega entertainment and songs you just can’t get out of your head; it’s no wonder K-Pop has made its way into the hearts of fans across the world.
The concert is happening on Wednesday November 10 at 8pm and will be presented in collaboration with the UAE Korean Cultural Center. sEODo BAND is creating an unexpected (and we hear captivating) musical conversation between contemporary and traditional music.
You’ll get to hear a mixture of pop, soul and R&B fused with Korean musical rhythms, melodies and stories in a genre known as Chosun Pop, which was innovated by the band.

The music and performance includes a traditional story, Chunhyang-ga, about two people from different classes finding love. (You know we’re suckers for a good love story).
Executive Artistic Director at The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi Bill Bragin said: “We are delighted to partner with the Korean Cultural Center to host the online Middle East debut of sEODo BAND. K-pop … The UAE is home to 13,000 South Korean expats and receives more than 200,000 visitors annually, and the UAE-Korean cultural dialogue is nearly as old as the nation. Echoing the UAE’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee and the future orientation of EXPO 2020, we aim to showcase groundbreaking performances, with the intention for artists and audiences alike to come curious and leave inspired.”
The sEODo BAND performance will be streamed online at nyuad-artscenter.org with free ticket registration.
