10 great live music gigs happening in the UAE this March

From Lil Pump to Maluma, see the top performances happening this month

There’s nothing quite like live music, and we’re so happy to say that gigs are back with bang across the UAE. With new acts being announced every day, here are the musicians coming to the United Arab Emirates this month that should be on your radar.

Marshmello

Whipping the crowd into a dancing frenzy tomorrow, Marshmello will be playing his biggest hits on the Jubilee Stage at Expo 2020 Dubai. Starting at 8.30pm the free gig will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis so make sure you get there early to secure your front-of-stage spot to see the “Happier” singer live.

Chris de Burgh

“Lady in Red” singer and songwriter Chris de Burgh is performing for free at Expo 2020 Dubai this Friday (March 11) evening at 9.30pm. The Argentinian-born Irish legend will take the crowd back into yesteryear playing his classic hits such as “Don’t Pay the Ferryman” and “Missing You” during his one-and-a-half-hour set.

UB40

British reggae band UB40 are getting the ska-party going on both nights at Expo 2020 this weekend, as they hit the large stage at Al Wasl Avenue on Saturday night (March 12 from 9.30pm-10.30pm) and the Festival Garden stage on Sunday (March 13) at 8pm. With huge hits like “Kingston Town” and “Where Did I Go Wrong”, we’re expecting both nights to draw a crowd of happy-go-lucky music-lovers.

Giggs

Iconic grime artist Giggs is hitting the stage at Soho Garden Palm Jumeirah this Friday (March 11) night. Though, only open to those with bookings, to see this “Talkin’ da Hardest” singer, you’re going to need to get a table which is an Dhs8,000 minimum spend for eight people.

Toploader

Toploader will headline Indie Rock Invasion gig this weekend

Headlining the new Indie Rock Invasion Festival this weekend, Toploader are getting the Sports City crowd Dancing in the Moonlight. The two-day festival will take place at The Square @ ISD on Friday March 11 and Saturday March 12. The British indie band will be joined by Republica, Baskery and Emily Capell.

Lil Pump

Bringing big party vibes to Soho Garden Meydan on Saturday (March 11), American rapper Lil Pump is whipping up the crowd as part of the club’s Black Circus night. The Gucci Gang singer has collaborated with Kanye West, Diplo and French Montana, but for you to be in his gang tonight (or just at the gig) you’ll need to book a table.

Spotlight RS concert series

Arab Superstars in Abu Dhabi concert 2022

Fans of Arab music can enjoy a mega concert series that’s coming to Abu Dhabi this month from Spotlight RS supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. Get ready for performances on each Saturday in March from the likes of Nancy Ajram, Carole Samaha, Ragheb Alama, Wael Kfoury, Melhem Zein, Mouhamad Khairy and Nader Al Atat over the three concerts.

Tamer Hosny

Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny will have people on their feet as he belts out his classic hits at a free concert at Global Village. The show is included with the Global Village entry ticket: Dhs15 on the app or Dhs20 at the gate. One of the Arabic world’s best-loved singers, Hosny will perform on Friday March 11 at 9pm. Known for romantic ballads and a powerful performance style, Hosny has won multiple accolades that have seen his music go international.

Ronan Keating

Ronan Keating to perform live in Dubai in March

Here to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, ‘90s popstar Ronan Keating will be playing to the crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena on Friday March 18. Ticket prices start from Dhs145 and are up for grabs on the Coca-Cola Arena website. Finding fame with UK boy band Boyzone, Keating went on to release “When you Say Nothing at All”.

Maluma

Latin Grammy award winner Maluma is performing his new world tour in Dubai on Thursday March 24. Bringing his popular Spanish hits to the Coca-Cola Arena, tickets to see him light up the stage start at Dhs225 per person.
