New Smart car means you can do your Abu Dhabi driving test indoors

New system introduced to assess drivers and improve road safety

Remember your driving test?

Nerves, anticipation, having to constantly check the mirrors for cars in all directions?

Well, things are about to change.

Drivers in Abu Dhabi will now be able to sit their driving tests in a smart car.

Abu Dhabi Police announced a new Smart Driving Test Project as part of its aim to adopt the latest technologies.

With the new project, driving test will be carried out in smart vehicles that feature advanced systems that monitor and evaluate the performance of the driver.

Vehicles will be connected to control and monitoring rooms where assessments will be made.

Test centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain will host a total of 32 smart vehicles between them, including 19 automatic vehicles, 13 manual vehicles as well as 28 buses.
