Living in Abu Dhabi is getting cheaper according to new research

Property prices and rent has dropped in the capital in the past year

It can be expensive living in Abu Dhabi, sometimes at least.

We find ourselves gawking at prices in the supermarket for an avocado, buying a round on a night out or going out for a meal at a nice restaurant.

But it’s doesn’t always have to be expensive, there’s plenty to do for free, you don’t have to buy imported produce, there are always deals to be had, and with Tastes of the Capital you can eat at the best restaurants for less.

Plus, the good news is, rent in Abu Dhabi is dropping, meaning we can all enjoy living in the capital for less.

According the new research by ValStrat, residential property prices in Abu Dhabi are more than 13 percent lower than they were this time in 2018.

In addition, a 3.3 percent fall in price has been reported in Q2 of 2019 compared to the previous quarter.

Ten locations were monitored by ValuStrat and all experienced declines in capital values of less than 5 percent, with the highest quarterly price falls recorded in Hydra Village and Al Reef.

Saadiyat Island and Mohamed Bin Zayed City also experienced a drop in prices by at a lower rate to elsewhere in the city.

So if you’re on the move or have to renegotiate your rent soon it’s good news.

There’s plenty of great places to live up for grabs and you can get a great price too.
