There’s still time to join the treasure hunt at The Galleria Al Maryah Island

The mall is a big hit with more than 400,000 visitors in its first weekend

If you haven’t been to The Galleria Al Maryah Island yet, you’re clearly in the minority.

The mall’s new expansion opened on September 4 with more than 250 new stories and 70 new places to eat. When you add in the rooftop parks, IMAX cinema from VOX and kids entertainment, the huge space has a lot going for it.

It seems most people in Abu Dhabi agree with us, as a staggering 400,000 people visited in the first four days after opening.

Daniel Parry, managing director of Gulf Related, says: “We are thrilled that the community has come to enjoy the experience we have created. We designed The Galleria’s expansion with careful attention to detail, ensuring a curated selection of the best retail brands, unique entertainment and exceptional dining options. All this is housed within a calm and relaxed environment that is easy to navigate. The feedback from the community and our retailers has been fantastic.”

As well as shopping and eating, you can also take party in a passport-themed treasure hunt until September 21.

Each visitor can collect a treasure map and take on the 15 steps included, receiving a stamp at each stop, to stand a chance of winning prizes.

Participants who collect at least ten stamps will also get a limited edition The Galleria x Dia’a Allam gift bag.

Happy hunting.
