You can watch the ‘1 Year To Go’ Expo 2020 event for free at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Live stream to show all the action from Dubai ahead of Expo 2020

People in the UAE and around the world have had one eye on Expo 2020 since it was announced in 2013.

Now, with just over a year to go, excitement is building and a huge event will take place later this week to mark one calendar year until the show opens.

The 1 Year to Go concert will take place on Sunday (October 20), and is going to be bringing international superstar Mariah Carey to Dubai for her first performance in the emirate since headlining the Dubai Jazz Festival in 2017.

Joining Carey for the special concert at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai will be Emirati singing star Hussain Al Jassmi.

Tickets to the event are already sold out but a special event is set to be held in Abu Dhabi so you can watch the action live and see live performances.

Louvre Abu Dhabi will be hosting the event in the capital featuring live performances from artists including Sandra Sahi, Stephon Lamar, Layla Kardan, Emirati Trio, Victor Sitali, The Domino, Kakembo Sharifu, Enjy Kiwan and Mo El Torky.

The free-to-attend event will be open to a maximum of 2,500 people and will be available on a first-com-first-served basis.

Opening at 5pm you will be able to watch to performances in the museum before a live stream begins at 8.20pm from Dubai.

Drivers will have to make use of a park and ride system from Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, you can also take the 0094 bus and Careem, Uber and Taxis can drop you off at the designated drop off zone.

Meanwhile, it will also be shown at Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, Ajman Museum, Umm Al Quwain Corniche, Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah Fort.
