Abu Dhabi Department of Health calls on healthcare providers to volunteer

Clinical staff can register online

The Department of Health Abu Dhabi has launched a digital platform for volunteers.

Clinical staff from across the UAE are invited to volunteer to support the heathcare sector in Abu Dhabi.

Volunteers can access the Abu Dhabi Workforce Management System online to apply by highlighting their skills that can provide key support.

Healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi will be able to log on to the portal to review profiles and communicate with them directly.

Successful volunteers with then be assigned roles based on their skills.

The Department of Health has called on all healthcare providers who are able to provide support to register on the portal and volunteer to help on a full or part time basis.

Eligible volunteers include full or part-time workers in a clinic or hospital in the region who are willing to work additional hours, clinical experts who have experience dataflow, retired healthcare workers who wish to return to medicine, volunteers who are licensed to work in the healthcare sector and more.

“In line with the vision of DoH to continue working towards ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, continuous and timely healthcare services to locals and residents in Abu Dhabi, we have established the volunteer platform that provides an opportunity for healthcare staff who are willing to supplement these efforts by volunteering their time and expertise,” said Dr Jamal Al Kaabi, acting under-secretary of DoH.

“We look forward to providing the public with all the necessary support, as part of our precautionary plans to ensure that the local sector remains fully committed to respond to the spread of COVID-19.”
