Abu Dhabi families are allowed to travel in the same car without fines

Three-person limit doesn’t affect first-degree relatives

Abu Dhabi Police has confirmed that members of the same family are permitted to travel in the same car without limits on numbers.

For non-family member a limit of three people per vehicle is in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, the Integrated Transport Centre has announced that only two people are permitted to ride in the back of a taxi.

First-degree relatives are permitted to travel together in one vehicle and are not limit to a three person maximum, as reported in sister site Arabian Business.

For non-family members a limit of three-people per vehicle is in place with fines of Dhs1,000 in place for offenders.
