Looking back on the year in music, Spotify has unveiled the most listened to artists and songs of the year in 2020 in the UAE with its 2020 Wrapped lists.
Korean group BTS were the most listened to artist in the UAE this year followed Travis Scott, Drake, Juice WRLD and The Weeknd, respectively.
The most streamed female artist in the past year in the UAE was Taylor Swift, followed by Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Halsey, respectively.
The Box by Roddy Rich was the most-streamed song of the year in the UAE followed by Blinding Lights by The Weeknd and Falling by Trevor Daniel.
The top three most listened to albums of the year were The Weeknd’s After Hours, ? by XXXTENTACION and Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone.
Interestingly, the day with the most streams out of the entire year was February 13, perhaps everyone was getting their Valentine’s Day playlist ready?
