Some passengers travelling to Dubai no longer require a PCR test before arrival

Dubai Airport has updated travel regulations for passengers arriving from GCC countries

Passengers arriving in Dubai from GCC countries no longer need to show a negative PCR test before departing for the UAE.

Dubai has announced that all passengers arriving from the UK and countries in the GCC are exempt from having to produce a negative PCR test result prior to arriving in the city.

Dubai Airports announced that from December 6, passengers arriving from GCC countries will no longer be required to conduct a PCR test before arriving in Dubai.

GCC countries that qualify for these procedures include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, passengers will however have to take a test on arrival in Dubai.

The move applies to air borders only. Travellers arriving through land borders are still required to take a PCR test in their country of origin within 96 hours prior to travelling.

In addition, Emirates Airline announced on its website that passengers travelling from the UK and Germany can travel to Dubai without taking a PCR test before departure and can be tested on arrival in the emirate.

In November a travel corridor was announced between the UAE and the UK.
