Expo 2020 Dubai will welcome more than 25million visitors from across the globe when it opens its doors on Thursday October 1 – but it’s not just international arrival*s that bosses have in mind in the build-up.
Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a far-reaching transportation plan to connect people from across the UAE with Expo 2020.

Some 70 dedicated buses are being deployed to run 193 daily trips during weekdays, and 213 daily trips on Thursday and Friday.
Buses will stop at nine locations across Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, making sure the people who call the UAE home can get a front row seat to what is being billed as the world’s greatest show.

Each vehicle will come complete with roomy seats, dedicated seats for children, WiFi service and USB charging ports – meaning no chance of a dead battery for those all important snaps on arrival.
Plans outline four stations in the capital, the first at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Additional collection points are to be placed at Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station, Marina Mall Station and Al Ain Bus Station.
Meanwhile, passengers in search of a ride to Expo should head to Al Jubail Bus Station or Muwaileh Station, with Ras Al Khaimah Bus Station and Ajman Bus Station also due to serve dedicated routes.
Over in Fujairah, visitors to Expo can jump aboard in City Centre Fujairah (exact details to come).
So, the wheels on the bus will soon be going round and round to get people to and from Expo.
