Light festival to bring Expo 2020 Dubai site to life

Expect light sculptures, art projections, installations and more

Are you ready for Expo 2020 Dubai? The greatest show on earth kicks off on Friday October 1, promising a world of adventure and excitement.

Tickets to the mega attraction are on sale now and the excitement is building as we learn more about what to expect.

Kalaidoscope is a stunning outdoor night-time festival that will bring Expo 2020 Dubai’s site to life for the entirety of the global event’s six-month run.

There will be incredible structures by architecture superstars such as Asif Khan, Foster and Partners, Grimshaw, and Hopkins Architects.

Across 182 visually striking nights, Kaleidoscope will use photography, light, and visual arts to tell global and cultural stories.

The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA) is providing the imagery, which has been specially chosen to link to Expo’s subthemes: opportunity, mobility, and sustainability.

At Expo 2020 Dubai you can expect to find a world of innovation and entertainment from Friday October 1, 2021 to Thursday March 31, 2022. There are three tiers of tickets on sale: one-day tickets for Dhs95, multi-day passes offering entry for 30 consecutive days for Dhs195, and season passes with unlimited entry for six months for Dhs495.

Children under the age of 18 and students holding a valid student ID from any academic institution in the world will be given free entry. Free tickets will also be available for people of determination, with their companion receiving a 50 percent discount. Visitors aged 60 and older can also enter for free.

Tickets will go on sale online at expo2020dubai.com. They will also be available through more than 2,400 ticket resellers.
