Unvaccinated visitors will need to show a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours

Are we dreaming? The time we’ve all been waiting for, Expo 2020 Dubai’s opening day, is just around the corner. (It’s Friday October 1 and if you don’t have your tickets yet, what are you waiting for?)

Organisers estimate that 25 million visitors will arrive in the emirate during the six-month run of Expo 2020 Dubai , and authorities have announced a string of COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the world’s greatest show is safe for visitors and residents.

Anyone entering the Expo 2020 Dubai site must show they have received a coronavirus vaccine that is recognized by their own national government, or have had a recent PCR test taken within 72 hours to enter the site when it opens.

If you’re not vaccinated and have not been tested within the 72-hour period, you can get a test at the PCR testing facility adjacent to the Expo 2020 Dubai site.

Expo is also planning to make PCR testing free to ticket-holders with one-day or multi-day passes through a network of testing centres across the city, which will be announced soon on the Expo 2020 Dubai website.

There will be incredible pavilions and experiences and we don’t think we could be more excited about what has been dubbed the world’s greatest show.

Have you heard about the two latest attractions that have been unveiled at the Expo 2020 Dubai site?

The first, The Expo 2020 Water Feature, will see water defy gravity to flow upwards, while Garden in The Sky will provide stunning views of the entire site.

During the day, the H20 at the Water Feature falls into a circle of fire (created with pure hydrogen) while after dark the stream changes course, flowing backwards up the walls in a nature-defying act.

The Garden in the Sky is 55 metres tall and is the ideal place to observe the park while being surrounded by gorgeous flora and fauna including yellow flame trees, which you can access via rotating cabins.

Jubilee Park, where the lofty garden has been planted, also has food outlets, art installations, a stage, the World Souq and a playground.

We’re on the edge of our seats waiting for Friday October 1.
