Authorities are urging residents of Al Ain to stay home unless it is an emergency due to current weather conditions as a result of Cyclone Shaneen.
Torrential rain and flash flooding is expected.
The UAE public is urged to take precautionary measures to ensure their safety, including avoiding sea activities, staying away from beaches, valleys, and areas of rain, and securing loose items and temporary structures.
Al Ain is one area that is expected to be especially affected.
If you need to drive somewhere, be sure to take extra caution when there is reduced visibility, and drive slowly in the rain.

Government entities and companies will work remotely on Monday October 4, and private sector companies are urged to activate remote working and minimize staff commuting.
Access to Jebel Hafeet is closed, as well as all COVID-19 testing and vaccination tents.
Authorities are working to evaluate homes in expected affected areas and will transport families to safe locations until they are able to return home.
The public is urged to be careful and cautious, and follow updates from official sources. For emergencies call 999.

Expected weather conditions include high-speed winds, low visibility, rough and turbulent seas, and flash-flooding.
The National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has called on the public to follow weather developments from official sources and follow precautionary measures for their safety.
Residents are encouraged to report any rainfall accumulations or damage caused by the cyclone so authorities can take relevant measures.
