Are you travelling from the UAE soon? Listen up, because there is a new travel pass being rolled out to provide secure, verified COVID-19 test results to travellers using the app.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced an agreement with Eurofins to incorporate its worldwide COVID-19 testing network into IATA Travel Pass.
The pass will help passengers meet entry requirements and provide proof of vaccination and negative COVID-19 test results when travelling.
Trials of IATA Travel Pass incorporating the global Eurofins network are expected to begin with airlines piloting IATA Travel Pass across multiple regions in the coming weeks.

The IATA Travel Pass securely manages, shares and verifies test data matched with traveller identities in compliance with border control requirements. It will help you manage new COVID-19 related travel processes, with details on travel requirements, identifying labs that are certified to do testing and more.

More than 25 airlines, including Etihad and Emirates, have partnered with IATA to begin testing the app with travellers on select flights.
The IATA Travel pass provides:
Governments with the ability to verify the authenticity of tests or vaccinations and the identity of those presenting their certificates.
Airlines with the ability to provide accurate information to their passengers on test requirements and verify that a passenger meets the requirements for travel.
Laboratories with the means to issue certificates to passengers that will be recognized by governments.
Travelers with accurate information on test requirements, where they can get tested or vaccinated, and the means to securely convey the results and certificates to airlines and border authorities.
